How we produced a 3D model of the first Croatian CubeSat satellite named “CroCube”

In July 2022 we’ve been approached by Daniela Jovic, Project leader for CroCube with the request for creating 3D visualizations and animations of the first Croatian satellite. We’ve gladly promised our support and after receiving first input, started creating the model of the CubeSat.

CroCube is a 1U CubeSat (1U = 10 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm) with a total weight of about 1.1 kg, and it consists of the following systems and parts:

Satellite Computer – connects all subsystems, controls them and gives them instructions for work.

Power supply
The energy supply system is the main source of power for the entire system, the so-called the “heart” of the satellite. It consists of solar panels and batteries, and is responsible for managing the production, storage and distribution of energy.

Camera
The main payload of the satellite is UCAM-III from the company 4D systems, which will photograph the Earth’s surface from a height of 500 km.

A real photo from the CubeSat on the same height CroCube will be orbiting at.
