CubeSats are standardized small satellites that provide the possibility of personalization and customization by stacking modular units. They are made by assembling ready-made components available on the market, which drastically reduces their price and production time compared to traditional satellites.

The cubic shape of the nanosatellite perfectly corresponds to Croatian most famous national symbol recognizable all over the world – red and white cubes – so the mission is proudly named CroCube – the first Croatian cube in space.
